Overview
Tooverseethetimelyandeffectivecompletionoftaxprojectssuchascorporatereorganisations,,,whilstalsoreviewingdetailedtaxanalysisofprojectsbeingcompletedbyothermemberswithintheteam,.
KeyRoles&Responsibilities
- Overseeandassistwiththepreparationofadetailedprojectplanforeachrestructure
- Overseeandassistwiththecompletionofaprojectincluding,butnotlimitedto,instructingsolicitors,completionofrelevantHMRCfilings,andregularclearcommunicationwiththeprojectstakeholders
- Preparestepsplanandcomprehensivetaxanalysisforprojects,clearlydocumentingthedifferenttaximplicationsofthestepsinvolvedwithreferencetotheappropriatelegislationandcaselaw,includingthefilingsanddeadlinesrequiredbyHMRCand/orothergovernmentbodies.
- ReviewtheprojectsbeingcompletedbytheTaxAdvisersandJuniorTaxAdvisers,toensureallnecessarystepsarefollowedtomaintainintegritywithHMRCandotherassociatedgovernmentbodies,whilstensuringthebestoutcomesaredeliveredfortheclient.ThisincludesbutisnotlimitedtoreviewingHMRCclearanceapplications,reviewingstepsplanandcompletingcomprehensivetaxanalysis.

- Delivercompanyproductsandserviceson-time(DOT)andwithinbudget(DIB)asperinternalandstatutorydeadlines.
- Handlesensitiveinformationinaconfidentialmanner.
- Offeradviceandsuggestionsforimprovementstobemade.
- Support,coachandmentorTaxAdviserswithintheteamtodeveloptheirtechnicalknowledge.
- InconjunctionwiththeTeamManager,conduct1-1andbi-annualappraisalsforTaxAdviserteam.
- Supportjuniorstaffwithinternalandexternalqueries.
- Ensurecompliancewithlegal,taxandaccountingstandardsandcurrentcaselaw,throughmaintainingCPDandothertrainingasrequired.
- Allemployeestakeresponsibilityformaximisingrevenue,costsavingandexpenditure
Skills&Attributesrequired:
FullyCTAqualified
Ideally5+years'post-qualificationexperience
Preparedtoadapttoourwayofdoingthings,solutionsorientedandclientcentric
Technicalapproach-deepknowledge/experienceofcorporatetax,worksfromfirst
principles/legislationratherthanguidance/HMRCview
