Overview

Tooverseethetimelyandeffectivecompletionoftaxprojectssuchascorporatereorganisations,,,whilstalsoreviewingdetailedtaxanalysisofprojectsbeingcompletedbyothermemberswithintheteam,.

KeyRoles&Responsibilities

  • Overseeandassistwiththepreparationofadetailedprojectplanforeachrestructure
  • Overseeandassistwiththecompletionofaprojectincluding,butnotlimitedto,instructingsolicitors,completionofrelevantHMRCfilings,andregularclearcommunicationwiththeprojectstakeholders
  • Preparestepsplanandcomprehensivetaxanalysisforprojects,clearlydocumentingthedifferenttaximplicationsofthestepsinvolvedwithreferencetotheappropriatelegislationandcaselaw,includingthefilingsanddeadlinesrequiredbyHMRCand/orothergovernmentbodies.
  • ReviewtheprojectsbeingcompletedbytheTaxAdvisersandJuniorTaxAdvisers,toensureallnecessarystepsarefollowedtomaintainintegritywithHMRCandotherassociatedgovernmentbodies,whilstensuringthebestoutcomesaredeliveredfortheclient.ThisincludesbutisnotlimitedtoreviewingHMRCclearanceapplications,reviewingstepsplanandcompletingcomprehensivetaxanalysis.

  • Delivercompanyproductsandserviceson-time(DOT)andwithinbudget(DIB)asperinternalandstatutorydeadlines.
  • Handlesensitiveinformationinaconfidentialmanner.
  • Offeradviceandsuggestionsforimprovementstobemade.
  • Support,coachandmentorTaxAdviserswithintheteamtodeveloptheirtechnicalknowledge.
  • InconjunctionwiththeTeamManager,conduct1-1andbi-annualappraisalsforTaxAdviserteam.
  • Supportjuniorstaffwithinternalandexternalqueries.
  • Ensurecompliancewithlegal,taxandaccountingstandardsandcurrentcaselaw,throughmaintainingCPDandothertrainingasrequired.
  • Allemployeestakeresponsibilityformaximisingrevenue,costsavingandexpenditure

Skills&Attributesrequired:

FullyCTAqualified

Ideally5+years'post-qualificationexperience

Preparedtoadapttoourwayofdoingthings,solutionsorientedandclientcentric

Technicalapproach-deepknowledge/experienceofcorporatetax,worksfromfirst

principles/legislationratherthanguidance/HMRCview
