Step into a hands-on leadership role as a Senior Surveyor, where you'll play a key part in delivering effective repairs, managing damp and mould and disrepair cases, supporting the smooth operation of housing services. This opportunity suits someone who enjoys balancing technical expertise with team leadership and service improvement.
You'll be working with a well-established housing organisation managing a diverse residential portfolio. The role focuses on leading surveying staff, overseeing contractor performance, and ensuring responsive and empty property works are delivered to a high standard, safely and efficiently.
This opportunity would suit an experienced Senior Surveyor currently working within social housing or property services, or someone ready to step up into a broader leadership role.
In this role, you will:

  • Provide leadership support to the repairs management team and act as the technical lead as a Senior Surveyor
  • Manage and mentor a team of Surveyors and trainee staff, supporting development and performance
  • Oversee responsive repairs, voids, damp and mould, and disrepair-related works
  • Act as the primary technical lead for disrepair cases, including inspections and coordination
  • Manage contractor delivery, monitoring quality, costs, timescales, and KPIs
  • Support the development of maintenance plans, budgets, and investment priorities
  • Monitor compliance with health & safety legislation, CDM requirements, and risk controls
  • Produce performance and compliance reports for internal stakeholders

We'd like to speak to candidates who have:
  • A relevant construction or surveying qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience delivering responsive repairs and managing disrepair within social housing
  • Previous experience supervising or supporting technical teams as a Senior Surveyor
  • Strong knowledge of housing standards, health & safety, and regulatory requirements
  • A full UK driving licence and flexibility to attend site visits and meetings

The role is offering a competitive salary rate of 47-51k
