We are seeking an experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our fantastic team at a Hotel
The position is a fixed term contract for 18 months working 40 hours per week. Livein accommodation may be available.The main responsibilities of the role will be (but not limited to):? To assist our Head Chef in the management of the kitchen operation withaccountability for the food P & L profitability? To achieve gross profit targets set within the kitchen, through stock takes,portion control, product costing and wastage measures? In the absence of the Head Chef lead and direct a team of chefs to ensure allfood is cooked and presented to a high-quality standard and ensure that theirallocated sections operate in a safe, hygienic and efficient manner.? Be able to liaise with recommended suppliers as required to ensure a goodfood product and price? Able to develop new menu ideas and implement them with descriptions andrecipes? Take part in the recruitment and selection process of new team memberswhen appropriate, ensuring they receive an in-depth departmental induction? Deliver cook offs, training and information specification sheets for new menuitems for the Kitchen and Front of House team? To maintain the quality and presentation of all food served to ensure that it isup to our hotel standard
