Job Description

• · Manage financial performance across marine infrastructure projects, including P&L reporting.
\n\t
• · Prepare cost estimates, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and conduct CVRs.
\n\t
• · Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement value engineering strategies.
\n\t
• · Prepare, negotiate, and administer high-value contracts.
\n\t
• · Ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
\n\t
• · Assess and mitigate risks; lead claims, variations, and dispute resolution.
\n\t
• · Develop and oversee procurement strategies for competitive pricing.
\n\t
• · Evaluate bids and negotiate optimal terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
\n\t
• · Maintain robust supply chain management and conduct market analysis.
\n\t
• · Mentor and develop junior and project quantity surveyors.
\n\t
• · Drive commercial strategies, collaboration, and best practice initiatives.
\n\t
• · Lead cost monitoring, forecasting, and financial reporting.
\n\t
• · Ensure accurate, audit-ready documentation and compliance with HSE standards.
\n\t
• · Present financial updates to senior management and stakeholders.
\n\t
• · Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and regulators.
\n\t
• · Represent commercial interests in meetings, negotiations, and progress reviews.
\n\t
• · Align financial and operational objectives with project teams.
\n

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Quantity Surveyor should have:

\n\t
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
\n\t
• MRICS or CICES (or working towards) is desirable.
\n\t
• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering or marine infrastructure.
\n\t
• Strong track record in cost management, CVRs, forecasting, and contract negotiation.
\n\t
• Solid understanding of UK construction contracts (NEC, JCT or equivalent).
\n\t
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
\n\t
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
\n
