Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager – Utilities (HV)

A specialist utilities contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to support the delivery of high-value high voltage (HV) grid and infrastructure projects across the South West.

This is a key commercial role within a growing business, offering the opportunity to take ownership of major projects while contributing to wider commercial strategy and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the commercial management of HV / power infrastructure projects

*

Oversee cost control, forecasting, and reporting across multiple schemes

*

Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and accounts

*

Administer contracts (NEC preferred) and manage change/variations

*

Provide commercial input into project delivery and risk management

*

Support and mentor junior commercial staff where required

*

Work closely with senior stakeholders to drive commercial performance

About You

*

Proven experience operating at Senior QS or Commercial Manager level

*

Background in utilities, power, energy, or infrastructure projects

*

Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial processes

*

Experience working on high voltage / grid / transmission projects (highly desirable)

*

Ability to manage projects independently and influence stakeholders

*

Full UK driving licence
