Senior Planner – Major Construction Project
Location: Hybrid - the odd bit of travelling but majority would be based at home
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum + excellent benefits

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to join my clients team on a flagship construction project. You will play a pivotal role in the development, coordination, and management of project schedules across pre-construction and delivery phases. Working closely with project managers, design teams, and commercial leads, you’ll ensure our programme remains robust, efficient, and aligned with strategic project milestones.

This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work from home and attend site or office locations as needed. Candidates can be based anywhere in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

Lead project planning activities across pre-construction and major build phases.

Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning software.

*

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to identify risks, opportunities, and programme improvements.

Provide planning insight during design development, procurement, and construction sequencing.

*

Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior stakeholders.

*

Support the project team in achieving on-time, on-budget delivery.

About You

*

Proven experience as a Planner/Senior Planner on large-scale construction projects.

*

Strong knowledge of pre-construction workflows and major build programme requirements.

*

Proficiency in planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject or similar).

*

Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

*

A proactive mindset with the ability to influence and drive best practice.
