Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager – Commercial Refurb Project\nLocation: Birmingham\nDuration: 13 Months\nEmployment: Permanent or Freelance/Contract\nStart: ASAP\n\nWe are recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager to oversee a large commercial refurbishment project based in Birmingham. This is a 13-month programme with the option to join on a permanent basis or work freelance/contract.\n\nRole Responsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Manage all mechanical packages on a major commercial refurb project\n\n * \n\n Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams\n\n * \n\n Lead coordination and progress meetings\n\n * \n\n Ensure project delivery is on programme, within budget, and to quality standards\n\n * \n\n Maintain strong health & safety compliance across all works\n\n * \n\n Resolve technical issues and support the project through to handover\n\nRequirements:\n\n * \n\n Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager (Senior level preferred)\n\n * \n\n Strong background in commercial refurbishment and building services\n\n * \n\n Ability to manage multiple packages and teams\n\n * \n\n Good communication, leadership, and organisational skills\n\n * \n\n Relevant mechanical qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)\n\nPackage:\n\n * \n\n Competitive salary or day rate\n\n * \n\n Permanent or Freelance (CIS/Umbrella/Ltd options subject to status)\n\n * \n\n Long-term 13-month project with immediate start available
