The Opportunity Having been awarded several new contracts this leading Heat Network Consultancy is recruiting for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. Reporting to the Associate Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the project deliverables meet the client requirements and are delivered on time and budget across a wide range of activities. The role will require a mix of technical engineering, stakeholder management and project management competence and experience. You should be proactive and comfortable working with minimal supervision, but also understand your own limitations and seek support/approval when required. The Position As the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for; * Working within the Building Design team, involved in the retrofit design activities on existing building level communal heating systems &/or heat networks. * Leading design team meetings with project stakeholders to discuss design progress and any project risks. * Review and approve retrofit design specifications, including building heat loss calculations, equipment selections, BMS changes, drawings and other required tender documentation. * Review and approve contractor design proposals, change requests and requests for information. * Advise Clients on internal processes and frameworks they should implement to ensure the effective delivery and operation of building heating systems. * Develop and maintain desig...
