Senior Design Engineer - Building Services (Mechanical / HVAC)\n\nA well-established M&E contractor providing full turnkey mechanical and electrical installation and maintenance services is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to head up the design team. With over 20 years of successful delivery across commercial, healthcare, motor retail, and high-security environments, the business continues to grow and now requires an experienced Design Engineer to join their team.\n\nYou'll work with clients from initial consultation through to detailed design and handover, supporting both design and build and refurbishment projects.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDesign and specify mechanical building services systems, including HVAC and plumbing.\n\nProduce detailed designs, drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD.\n\nSupport the tender process with technical input, value engineering, and risk assessments.\n\nCollaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and supply partners to deliver integrated M&E solutions.\n\nAttend site surveys and client meetings; provide ongoing technical support through to commissioning and handover.\n\nPackage:\n\n £50,000-£65,000 DOE \n\n£6,000 car allowance\n\n33 days holiday (including bank holidays)\n\nHoliday buy-back scheme\n\nHealthcare scheme after probation\n\nExcellent career progression within a supportive and growing organisation\n\nWhat You'll Need:\n\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.\n\nProven experience within the construction or M&E design sector.\n\nStrong technical understanding of HVAC systems.\n\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office and design tools such as Hevacomp or similar.\n\nWR HVAC | M&E are #1 recruitment partner for HVAC jobs.
