Job Description

Our client, a leading firm specialising in the water sector, is currently seeking both Mechanical Design Engineers and Senior Mechanical Design Engineers to join their dynamic team on a contract basis. This role offers hybrid working opportunities and is based out of their Manchester office. Our client is especially interested in candidates with UK Water experience, but those from other regulated industries will also be considered.

This is an exciting opportunity to engage in long-term projects across AMP8.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDesign and development of mechanical components and systems for water sector projects\nCreation of detailed mechanical designs and specifications\nCollaborating with other engineering disciplines to ensure project success\nConducting analysis and simulation to verify design integrity\nReviewing and approving mechanical designs and documentation\nProviding technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers\nEnsuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations\nParticipating in project meetings and presenting technical findings\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nExperience in mechanical design engineering, preferably within the water sector but not essential \nProficiency in mechanical design software and tools\nUnderstanding of regulated industry standards and compliance requirements\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills\nExcellent communication and teamwork abilities\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively\nRelevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification\nWillingness to work on a hybrid basis and attend the Manchester office as required\n\nBenefits:\n\nCompetitive contract rates\nHybrid working arrangement\nOpportunity for long-term engagement on AMP8 projects\nDynamic and supportive work environment\nIf you are a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer or Senior Mechanical Design Engineer looking for a challenging and rewarding contract position within the water sector, we would love to hear from you.
