A leading listed insurance group is seeking an exceptional Senior Legal Counsel – Corporate to join its high‑performing legal function. This is a pivotal position within a dynamic, commercially driven organisation undergoing significant growth and strategic development. You will work closely with senior leadership, providing expert legal support across a wide range of corporate, commercial, and governance matters in a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities

Advise the Board, Executive Committee, and senior stakeholders on corporate and strategic matters, including M&A, joint ventures, capital raisings, and other corporate transactions. Lead on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and company secretarial matters for a UK‑listed entity. Draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements, group contracts, and strategic partnership arrangements. Support the delivery of corporate projects, restructurings, and transformation initiatives across the group. Provide pragmatic, business‑focused advice to help the organisation navigate legal risk while enabling commercial ambition. Manage external counsel and ensure cost‑effective, high‑quality legal support.

About You

Qualified solicitor with strong post‑qualification experience in corporate law (M&A, corporate governance, ECM, or general corporate advisory). Background from a highly regarded, top‑tier law firm is essential, with a proven track record of delivering high‑quality corporate advisory or transactional work. Experience working within financial services or a regulated environment is highly advantageous. Excellent stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to operate at executive and Board level. Commercial, strategic, and solutions‑focused, with the confidence to influence decision‑making. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, listed business with a high level of visibility.
