Job Description

Senior Interior Designer

Award-Winning Architectural & Design Practice

London | £45,000–£50,000

I am working with an award-winning, globally recognised architectural and design studio that genuinely values design quality, collaboration and long-term career development. This is a Senior Interior Designer role for someone who enjoys owning projects, working closely with clients and helping set the creative standard within a high-performing studio.

This is not a narrow interiors role. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary environment spanning architecture, workplace strategy, interior design and master planning. The London studio sits within a wider international network, which means exposure to best-in-class thinking, strong technical support and ambitious, well-designed projects.

They are looking for a Senior Interior Designer with solid experience in corporate interiors and workplace design, ideally gained within a respected design practice. You should be confident taking projects from early concept through to delivery, comfortable in front of clients and capable of supporting and mentoring more junior designers.

What you will be doing

Pre-project

  • Leading and contributing to tender proposals and presentations
  • Shaping compelling design narratives for client pitches
  • Presenting confidently to clients alongside senior stakeholders

Project delivery

  • Developing design concepts, layouts, finishes, materials and furniture selections
  • Translating client briefs into clear project documentation
  • Producing design and production information within agreed programmes and budgets
  • Specifying products with a strong eye on quality, sustainability and longevity
  • Attending client and project meetings and supporting site reviews where required
  • Flagging risks and issues early and working collaboratively to resolve them
  • Supporting smooth handover and completion of projects

What they are looking for

  • Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture
  • Strong experience in a similar senior-level role, ideally with around 10 years in practice
  • Proven background in corporate interiors and workplace projects
  • Confident client-facing skills with strong presentation ability
  • Solid understanding of UK building regulations and standards
  • Revit experience is essential and will be assessed during interview
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong technical awareness of furniture systems, finishes and materials
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior designers
  • Experience delivering fast-track projects is a real plus
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of delivering projects on time and on budget

Interview process

Typically two stages.

First stage is an in-person interview in London.

Second stage is with the wider senior team, either in person or online.

Accessibility support is genuinely welcomed, and adjustments can be made throughout the process if needed.

If you are a Senior Interior Designer who wants more responsibility, exposure to genuinely high-quality work and a studio that takes design and people seriously, this is well worth a conversation.
