Role: Senior Estimator

Location: Bank, London

Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 + Benefits

A leading civil engineering contractor in London is looking for a Senior Estimator with a strong background in heavy civil infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of high-value bids across major projects, including highways, bridges, tunnels, and other large-scale schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates for complex civil engineering projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to prepare competitive bids.
• Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to source technical and pricing information.
• Identify project risks and value engineering opportunities, providing insight to senior leadership.
• Ensure all estimates align with client expectations, industry regulations, and company procedures.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the estimating team.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a heavy civil estimating role, ideally on large infrastructure projects.
• Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, and current market pricing.
• Proficiency with estimating software and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Confident communicator with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
