The Role

This is a senior, hands-on position that combines design leadership, client interaction, and team support. Sitting at the centre of the design function, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of creative output while acting as a key point of contact for both internal teams and clients.

The role is split approximately 60/40 between hands-on design and leadership responsibilities. You will lead by example through your own work, while also guiding and supporting designers to elevate overall output.

Key Responsibilities

Design Execution

Lead and deliver high-quality design work across a range of outputs including:

• Websites and landing pages
• Campaign and social content
• Motion and interactive assets
• Email and digital marketing materials

Take projects from concept through to delivery with strong attention to detail and craft.

Design QA and Quality Control

• Review all design work before it is shared with clients
• Ensure outputs meet the brief, align with brand guidelines and are fit for purpose
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to improve both work and team capability

Brief Interpretation and Creative Direction

• Work closely with project managers and designers to clarify and shape briefs
• Translate ambiguous requirements into clear creative approaches
• Identify and resolve challenges early to keep projects on track

Client Collaboration

• Present work and articulate design decisions with clarity and confidence
• Support client conversations, feedback sessions and project discussions
• Build strong, trusted relationships through clear communication

Team Support and Mentoring

• Act as a senior point of guidance for the design team
• Support idea development and improve creative thinking
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to raising overall standards

Workflow and Collaboration

• Partner with project managers on scoping, timelines and delivery
• Ensure efficient workflow and project progression
• Contribute to a collaborative and solutions-focused team environment

Key Skills and Experience

• Strong portfolio across digital, campaign and brand work
• Experience working across web, UX/UI, motion, and digital design
• Proven ability to review and improve the work of others
• Confident in client-facing situations with strong communication skills
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with motion tools such as After Effects
• Understanding of design systems, layouts, and production processes
• Interest in emerging technologies including AI within design
