Senior Structural Design Engineer (Water)

Location: Warrington or Bristol

What you’ll be doing: As a Senior Structural Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, compliant designs within the water and wastewater sector, working closely with Principal Engineers, Design Leads, and Managers. This hands-on technical role may also include line management responsibilities and requires strong design delivery skills. You’ll contribute to innovation, design integration, engineering governance, procurement, and site support, while also mentoring junior engineers and supporting knowledge sharing and professional development across the team.

In this role, you will: Deliver structural designs for water/wastewater projects as part of a growing team Review schemes, provide early-stage input, and produce reports, calculations, and outline drawings Carry out detailed design in reinforced concrete and steel for both above- and below-ground structures Design modifications to existing assets at treatment plants and other sites Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance Produce designs with a focus on reducing carbon footprint Support planning, costing, and programming with the managem...
