Senior Associate Solicitor | Private Client

An established and expanding Scottish firm is looking to appoint a Senior Associate into its Private Client team in Glasgow. This is a key hire for the practice, offering the opportunity to work closely with clients on high‑value, technically complex matters while playing an active role in shaping and growing the firm’s private client offering. The role combines autonomy, leadership and long‑term progression within a supportive team environment.

The role

As a Senior Associate in the Private Client team, you will advise on a broad range of complex matters including wills, Powers of Attorney, succession planning, inheritance tax, trusts and executry administration. You will manage a varied caseload of high‑value executries and trust matters, including trust administration and Adults with Incapacity applications.


The role also involves supervising and mentoring junior solicitors and trainees, providing technical input on complex files, and contributing to business development and client relationship management as the team continues to grow.


About you

This role would suit a Private Client Solicitor who:

  • Has significant private client experience, ideally at Associate or Senior Associate level
  • Is experienced in handling complex wills, executries, trusts and succession planning
  • Has experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues
  • Holds a STEP qualification, or is working towards it
  • Is detail‑driven, organised and proactive
  • Communicates clearly and handles sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism
