Principal Consultant — AI & Workforce Transformation / AI Readiness Lead

London | Hybrid 2‑3 days on‑site (Flexible)

Drive AI‑readiness programmes that upskill talent, re‑shape organisational design and embed ethical, governable AI across HR and business operations and AI‑readiness roadmap delivery for FTSE clients.

You will shape the AI agenda for blue‑chip clients.



Core Responsibilities



  • AI Readiness & Governance – Lead workstreams that define upskilling plans, guardrails and ethical integration of AI agents vs. agentic AI within client organisations.
  • Organisational Design & Workforce Planning – Translate corporate strategy into future‑state structures, embedding AI and digital capabilities at scale.
  • Skills Gap Analysis – Assess current capability profiles, identify transformation opportunities and embed skills frameworks in enterprise platforms (LMS, talent suites).
  • Change & Adoption Leadership – Orchestrate change plans, stakeholder communications and training to ensure sustainable adoption of AI‑driven ways of working.
  • AI Controls – Apply bias‑mitigation, explainability and secure‑data practices across all deliverables, ensuring compliance with EU‑AI‑Act requirements.
  • Thought Leadership – Contribute to white papers and events, showcasing pragmatic approaches to AI‑enabled workforce transformation.



Ideal Candidate DNA



  • Proven delivery of AI‑readiness or digital‑transformation programmes within HR, workforce‑planning or organisational‑change settings.
  • Deep HR‑tech familiarity (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, LMS/talent platforms) and how AI layers onto these ecosystems.
  • Change‑management accreditation (Prosci, ACMP or equivalent) with track record of enterprise‑wide adoption successes.
  • Analytical mindset — experienced in skills gap analysis, capability modelling and KPI‑driven transformation.
  • Governance & ethics savvy — comfortable implementing frameworks that align to GDPR and the EU AI Act.
  • Stakeholder gravitas — able to engage CHROs, CIOs and business leaders, turning technical AI concepts into operational value
