SEND Teaching Assistant - General Classroom & Intervention Support
Aspire People are currently recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to support a range of primary schools. This is a general SEND support role, ideal for candidates who enjoy variety and working across different needs and year groups.
Rather than being solely 1:1, this role involves supporting across the classroom, with opportunities to deliver targeted interventions where needed.
The Role: * Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs including ASD, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties * Assisting the class teacher with differentiated learning activities * Delivering small-group interventions in literacy and numeracy * Providing additional support to pupils where required, including occasional 1:1 * Encouraging independence, confidence, and engagement * Monitoring progress and supporting assessment where needed
The Ideal Candidate: * Experience working with children with SEND in a school or similar setting * Adaptable and confident working across different classrooms * Strong understanding of primary curriculum support * Positive, proactive, and supportive attitude * Good communication and teamwork skills
