SEND Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Primary School (Monday-Friday)
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in a vibrant mainstream primary school. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday during school hours.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to access the curriculum, develop independence, and thrive within the classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies Support children's academic, social, and emotional development Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual needs Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have previous experience supporting children with SEND in a primary school setting Be passionate about making a difference in children's lives Demonstrate enthusiasm, patience, and a nurturing approach Be adaptable and able to respond to the varying needs of pupils Have strong communication and teamwork skills
