Long Term Futures is looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant who is ready to progress in their career within a SEND school setting.

About the Role Working alongside class teachers, the SENCo, and other professionals, your duties will include (but are not limited to): * Supporting pupils both inside and outside of the classroom * Assisting the teacher in delivering engaging and well-structured lessons * Setting clear, individualised expectations for each pupil * Using positive reinforcement strategies where appropriate * Monitoring progress and/or behaviour, providing feedback to teachers and parents * Supporting students outside the classroom to help them regulate before reintegration * Encouraging the development of resilience, self-regulation, and positive social skills
Ideal Candidate Profile * Experienced and passionate about working with pupils with SEND * Calm, confident, and able to stay composed during challenging situations * Able to build strong relationships while maintaining consistent boundaries * Dependable and committed to a long-term role - consistency is key for these pupils * Resilient and prepared for the demands of a SEND environment
