A North West Local Authority are seeking a dynamic and driven Project Manager to lead the delivery phase of their SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) programme. This is a pivotal role in establishing and managing multiple workstreams and projects aimed at improving provision and services for children and young people.
Your duties as a SEND Project Manager
- Set up and deliver 6–8 SEND-related projects under defined workstreams.
- Establish project infrastructure and frameworks to support delivery through workstream leads and delivery groups.
- Develop and implement a PM framework for future project managers joining the programme.
- Create Terms of Reference (ToRs) for each workstream and associated task-and-finish groups.
- Support workstream leads in prioritising activities and absorbing project workload where needed.
- Provide milestone reporting and maintain visibility of progress across all projects.
- Proven experience in project setup and delivery, within SEND or education-related programmes.
- Strong organisational skills and proficiency in project management tools.
- Ability to work at pace and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Understanding of the balance between cost-efficiency and maintaining high-quality services.
- Experience engaging with external agencies and partners, including schools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
