SEN Teaching Assistant

A client school in Morpeth are seeking a confident, supportive and motive SEN Teching Assistant. This role involves working closely with students who have a range of additional needs.

Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEND, primarily within English. Assist learners in developing reading, writing and comprehension skills. Collaborate with teaching staff to deliver personalised learning approaches. Encourage independence, resilience and positive learning behaviours. Adapt tasks and resources to suit individual learning needs. Support classroom management and contribute to a calm, supportive learning environment. The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working with students with SEND (ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, communication needs, SEMH). Be patient, consistent and committed to student progress. Work effectively as part of a team and follow teacher guidance. Be proactive, enthusiastic and able to build positive relationships with learners. Beneficial Backgrounds Include:
