ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching is seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Primary School in Bristol.
The school has a strong inclusion ethos and offers a nurturing environment where staff work collaboratively to support children with a wide range of additional needs.

With excellent leadership and a focus on staff development, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TA looking to make a meaningful impact in an SEN-focused role. The position is long‑term, with potential to extend or become permanent for the right candidate.

CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS

Location: Bristol
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Type: Full‑Time (Monday - Friday)
Pay Rate: £90 - £110 per day
Hours: 8:20am - 3:30pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

Experience working in a UK school or education setting - mandatory
Experience or strong interest in supporting pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language Needs, and SEMH
Ability to provide calm, patient and structured one‑to‑one or group SEN support
Understanding of positive behaviour strategies and child‑centred support plans
Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (Prospero can provide training if needed)
Excellent communication skills and a caring, supportive approach
Experience with personal care is beneficial but not essential

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE WITH PROSPERO, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
Be able to provide 24 months of employment references, including at least one child‑related reference
Have strong written and spoken English
