SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time

Vision Teaching is currently recruiting a committed and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis in Haringey. This SEN Teaching Assistant role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supervising and interacting with students with a wide range of needs, including complex learning difficulties. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals to provide consistent, high-quality support.

Key Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant:

Supporting students with a range of SEND on a one-to-one and small-group basis

Providing personal care support where required

*

Assisting students who rely on non-verbal communication methods

*

Implementing effective behaviour management strategies

*

Supporting learning and emotional development in line with individual education plans

*

Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant:

Previous experience working with SEND, either in a paid role or through extensive personal experience

*

Willingness and confidence to carry out personal care duties

*

Strong behaviour management skills

*

Experience supporting pupils using non-verbal communication

*

A professional, patient, and empathetic approach
