- Essex As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups throughout the school day in Essex Assisting the class teacher with delivering tailored lessons and activities Supporting pupils with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation Helping to manage behaviour using positive and consistent strategies Adapting learning materials to meet individual needs Supporting pupils during transitions, breaktimes, and structured activities Encouraging independence, confidence, and engagement in learning within education and training Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and therapists to follow individual support plans Ensuring a safe, calm, and supportive classroom environment at all times The ideal candidate
