SEN Teaching Assistant - Year 2 (Down Syndrome) Tradewind Education Islington Start Date: January 2026 ⏰ Full-time: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm

Tradewind Education is currently recruiting a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 2 with Down syndrome at a welcoming primary school in Islington.

About the Role:

Provide 1:1 support tailored to the pupil's individual needs

Support learning in line with the child's EHCP

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies and interventions

Promote inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour

Support with personal care where required (training provided)

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience supporting children with SEN (Down syndrome experience desirable)

A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively

A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
