Teaching Personnel are recruiting a full‑time SEN Teacher to work within a specialist primary SEN school in the Manchester area, starting in September. The school supports children with complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Severe and Profound Learning Difficulties (SLD/PMLD), communication difficulties, sensory needs, and associated medical or behavioural needs. The Role:

As a SEN Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering tailored, engaging lessons to meet a wide range of complex learning needs
Creating a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Adapting teaching strategies to support pupils’ cognitive, sensory, emotional, and physical development
Working closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, SENCOs, and external professionals
Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to EHCP targets and reviews
Implementing behaviour support strategies and promoting positive outcomes
Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and carers
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Previous experience teaching children with SEN, ideally within a specialist or SEN school setting
Experience working with complex needs such as ASC, PMLD, or SEMH
An Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
A compassionate, resilient, and flexible approach
Strong classroom management and communication skills
