Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting SEN Teachers to work across a variety of secondary SEN schools. These opportunities are ideal for passionate and adaptable teachers who are committed to inclusive education and supporting young people with additional needs to achieve their full potential.

The schools supported by Tradewind cater for students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and a broad range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and communication needs. Settings may include maintained SEN schools, academies, and specialist provisions, offering a range of teaching experiences to suit different skill sets and career goals.

As an SEN Teacher, you will work with small class sizes and benefit from strong multidisciplinary support. You will be responsible for planning and delivering differentiated lessons that are accessible, engaging, and tailored to individual learning needs. Alongside academic teaching, there is a strong focus on developing life skills, emotional regulation, independence, and social communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons adapted for a range of SEN needs

Implement personalised learning programmes linked to EHCP outcomes

Create a structured, calm, and inclusive classroom environment

Use multi-sensory, visual, and practical teaching approaches

Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals

Monitor progress and adapt teaching to support individual development

Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent

Experience working with students with SEN, either in specialist or mainstream settings

A flexible, patient, and nurturing approach

Strong behaviour management and communication skills

A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
