A specialist secondary school in Manchester is looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to work in classes with students who may need extra support with work and behaviour. The students within the school are ages 11-19 and have a variety of different social, emotional and mental health.\n\nThey are currently working towards qualifications and have individualised learning plans to help them work towards their goals.\n\nRole and Responsibilities:\n\nWork alongside teachers in lessons to create a positive learning environment\nHelp students with specific needs that they may have and work towards helping each student individually\nProvide feedback to teachers when needed about progression of students\nPromote respect for other students and members of staff through setting an example of that yourself\nFor this role you should:\n\nHave previous experience working with students with additional needs\nHave previous experience working in education\nBe able to deal with difficult behaviour in a positive and effective way\nBe available full-time\nIf you are interested in this role then please apply with an up-to-date CV highlighting relevant experience.\n\nAll applicants must have a permanent residence and right to work in the UK.
