Job Title: Cover Supervisor Location: Ashington Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-time (Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm), Temporary until Summer

Overview: We are seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school in Ashington on a full-time basis. This role is to start as soon as possible and will run through to the end of the summer term.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff

*

Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects and year groups

*

Ensure students remain on task and engaged with the work set

*

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

*

Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour

Requirements:

A degree (essential)

*

Strong classroom presence and the ability to manage behaviour effectively

*

Confidence delivering lessons across a variety of subjects and age groups

*

Excellent communication and organisational skills

*

A flexible and proactive approach
