A rapidly expanding freight forwarding organisation is looking for a Sales and development professional, office based to sell and develop their Deep Sea, Air and also road freight services direct to clients over the phone.The ideal candidate will be a crucial link between BDMs, and our customer service team & also gather sales leads and sell to clients over the phone. Ideally candidates will have business they can bring with them (*Not essential). GCSE or equivalent qualification A-C (4-9) in core subjects. Must possess Sea freight sales experience with some knowledge of air freight as we are looking to grow this area.ROLE: Sea & Air Inside salesLOCATION: EssexBASIC SALARY: £35k to £37500Commission: Monthly commissionROLE:Identify and source new business opportunities, leveraging your own leads and those provided by the Sales and Operations teams.Develop new sales across FCL/LCL sea freight, airfreight, and road freight, for both imports andexports.Operate flexibly, with responsibilities both in-office and in thefield.Bring transferable business connections (advantageous but notessential).Pre pare accurate quotations, ensuring the inclusion of all relevant terms andclauses.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:A minimum of 2 years experience in freight sales (sea, air, maybe road) within a freight forwarding environment.A proven track record in sales and businessdevelopment.Comprehensive knowledge of the global freightindustry.Exceptional negotiationskills.Strong attention todetail.Excellent communication skills and a friendly approachabledemeaner.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.A collaborative and dynamic teamspirit.Outstanding English and mathematicsskills.JBRP1_UKTJ
