Science Technician - Secondary Schools (Merton)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician to join a network of inclusive and supportive secondary schools across the London Borough of Merton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about science education and keen to play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning.

The Role

As a Science Technician, you will be a key member of the science department, ensuring practical lessons run smoothly and safely. Your work will directly support teachers and students, helping to create engaging and effective learning experiences.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing, setting up, and clearing away equipment and materials for science lessons

Maintaining and organising laboratory equipment and resources

Supporting health and safety procedures within the science department

Assisting teaching staff with practical demonstrations and experiments

Managing stock levels and ordering supplies where required

About You

An interest or background in science (school, college, or work-based)

Well organised, reliable, and proactive

Previous experience as a Science Technician is desirable but not essential
