EK Outreach Services is a specialist provider ofone-to-one teachingfor students who are unable to access mainstream school environments due to medical, emotional, or learning difficulties. We work with students who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), providing individualised support to meet their specific learning needs. Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experiencedScience Teacherto deliver one-to-one lessons to students with diverse needs, including those with SEND. In this role, you will have the opportunity to teach and support students who are unable to attend mainstream schooling, helping them engage with Science Studies through tailored and accessible lessons. Lessons may take place in students' homes, libraries, or other agreed-upon locations. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliverindividualised Science lessonsthat are aligned with the student's academic level and learning objectives. Teach a range of topics atGCSEor equivalent levels. Ability to promote scientific understanding, engagement and motivation in students. Remain patient and flexible in the approach to learning by adapting lesson content and teaching methods to support students with SEND and other learning challenges. Track and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and staff. Possess excellent communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively with pastoral teams to ensure holistic support for each student. Maintain thorough records of lessons and progress in line with educational requirements. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)or significant experience teaching Science. Experience in some of the following areas is essential: KS3 Science | GCSE Combined and Triple Science. Experience working withSEND studentsis highly desirable. Excellent knowledge of the Science curriculum and related topics. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students in a one-to-one setting.
