Simply Education are recruiting on behalf of a specialist school for a dedicated Science Teacher to join a supportive team working with young people who require additional support to re-engage with education and achieve their potential.

As a Science Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and supporting the wider vision of the academy. As a Science Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging Science lessons, monitor student progress and adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs. As a Science Teacher, you will also support the development of high-quality teaching and learning within the Science curriculum and contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

As a Science Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons that support strong student progress

• Monitor and assess student achievement and track progress against targets

• Support the development of high-quality Science teaching and learning across the school

• Work with the SENCO to identify students who require additional support or intervention

• Deliver and support PSHE and RHSE programmes where required

• Maintain positive behaviour and create a supportive learning environment

• Support the mental health and wellbeing of students

• Contribute to the planning, organisation and development of the Science curriculum

• Support colleagues through sharing best practice to improve teaching and learning

We are seeking a Science Teacher who:

• Must be a Science Teacher with QTS or QTLS

• Has strong subject and curriculum knowledge in Science

• Is able to set high expectations and inspire students to achieve

• Demonstrates success in supporting students who may be working below expected levels

• Has experience working with disengaged or disconnected learners

• Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability within the curriculum

• Is committed to improving student outcomes and wellbeing

• Is committed to the school's focus on improving student attainment

• Experience of contributing to whole-school teaching and learning strategies would be advantageous

• Ability to inspire all in a love of learning for Science
