As a School Youth Support Worker, you’ll be the friendly, encouraging mentor young people rely on—whether they have Additional Learning Needs (ALN), social/emotional needs, or simply benefit from a bit of extra guidance in the classroom.

You’ll be building strong, positive relationships, offering 1:1 and small‑group support, helping with behaviour, confidence, emotional wellbeing and everyday learning. No two days are the same—and that’s what makes it so rewarding!

This role is an incredible chance to gain hands‑on experience in education, youth work, psychology, SEN support, or behaviour mentoring. If you’re hoping to move into teaching, social work, counselling, or SEN pathways… this is the perfect place to start!

Experience could include, but is not limited to:

Coaching Youth work Care & Support work Mentoring or Tutoring Camp leading Classroom support Or ANY other transferable experience you can confidently demonstrate at interview! ✅ Educator Requirements

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service EWC registration Age 18+ Level 2 Safeguarding training (provided during onboarding) Minimum of 2 professional references covering 24 months

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
