As a Sales Assistant based in Croydon, youll be responsible for:

Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations
Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
Proactively contacting customers to build relationships and drive branch sales particularly focusing on customers with reduced or inactive spending
Assisting with general warehouse duties including picking & packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries which will involve manual handling of heavy items e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets
Ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday xbpsjku - Friday between 07.30am - 5.00pm and alternate Saturdays 08.00am - 12.00pm.

Prior industry experience would be advantageous
Face to Face customer service is essential
Prior warehouse experience
Willingness to work as a part of a team and to take on a diverse role
Keenness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic
To be comfortable lifting heavy items
