Risk and Assurance Manager Secure a permanent, full‑time role within the Risk and Assurance Team at L&Q, based in London, Stratford or Manchester, Trafford. Your impact in the role
Support the maturing of the Group‑wide approach to risk, controls and assurance. Lead efforts to secure buy‑in across the business and ensure effective rollout. Deliver data‑driven, clear reporting through L&Q’s governance structures. Run a second‑line assurance programme, working with owners to review controls and advise improvements. Set risk appetite at a strategic level and guide day‑to‑day decision‑making. Embed and continuously improve the group‑wide approach to critical incident and business continuity management.
Key relationships
Collaborate with a small central team supporting the business in understanding risks, evaluating controls and proposing improvements. Work closely with leaders and teams across the Group to manage risks in their accountable areas.
How you will help achieve departmental targets and goals
Ensure compliance with the risk and assurance framework, promoting consistent risk expression and strong controls. Drive routine self‑assessment of control effectiveness and contribute to the second‑line of assurance, coordinating with the third line (internal audit).
What you’ll bring
Technical expertise in risk management and assurance. Experience of risk management and assurance within a large organisation. Analytical and problem‑solving skills and mindset. Strong relationship‑building, networking and leadership skills to motivate and deliver through others. Brilliant communication skills, able to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner.
