As a Transformation, Risk, and Assurance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the business outcomes through conducting thorough assessments, building relationships with key stakeholders, and providing independent assurance to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of programme controls. What You’ll Do As the Transformation, Risk and Assurance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective delivery of transformation initiatives critical to the Next Level Sainsbury's strategy. Your responsibilities will include leading multiple reviews within the assurance plan, providing real‑time support and actionable insights to management during implementation of new processes, and developing recommendations that balance commercial considerations and assurance requirements. You will drive a continual risk focus by applying a flexible assurance framework throughout the programme lifecycle, monitor actions arising from assurance activities, and contribute to the ongoing development of assurance approaches and tools. Building trusted relationships with transformation leaders while maintaining independence, you will produce clear, informative reports for senior leadership decision‑making and support the Head of Transformation Assurance in developing a risk‑based assurance plan. Your role will be key in contributing to team success through continuous improvement activities and ensuring audits are delivered to budget and quality standards. Who You Are You are an experienced professional with a proven track record in leading complex transformation programmes and developing strong stakeholder relationships in a fast‑paced large business. Your exceptional communication, analytical, and report‑writing skills, coupled with your ability to apply sound judgement and drive continuous improvement, enable you to deliver high‑quality assurance reviews and provide actionable insights to support business change initiatives. With a self‑starting attitude, strong commercial acumen, and a commitment to personal development, you play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness, sustainability, and risk management of transformational projects within the organisation. Essential Criteria
Demonstrable experience delivering or assuring complex transformation programmes within large, fast‑paced organisations, covering technology, people, and process outcomes Proven experience leading or contributing to programme assurance, audit, or oversight activities across complex portfolios, including work with Agile or hybrid delivery environments Evidence of effective stakeholder management, including building and maintaining working relationships with stakeholders at multiple seniority levels, and communicating programme risks beyond core delivery teams Demonstrable capability in analysing programme information and producing clear written reports, including the assessment of risks, controls, and delivery impacts Working knowledge of programme controls, delivery methodologies, and good practice in business change, with evidence of applying sound judgement to prioritise work and meet agreed time, cost, and quality expectations
