Working with high-quality British meat and trusted local suppliers, youll play a key part in shaping and growing a traditional butcher counter inside a busy farm shop setting where quality matters more than volume.

Your responsibilities as Retail Butcher
  • Prepare and present fresh meat products for the retail counter to high presentation standard
  • Produce sausages, bacon and other traditional butcher products for farm shop sale
  • Maintain a clean, organised and compliant preparation and cutting area
  • Manage stock organisation and basic paperwork related to product handling
  • Serve customers at the counter, advising on cuts and product selection
  • Support the development and growth of the butcher counter within the farm shop
What were looking for in a Retail Butcher
  • Previous experience working within retail butchery or fresh meat preparation
  • Experience preparing pork, beef, lamb and poultry for retail sale
  • Knowledge of sausage and bacon production methods
  • Experience working within a food retail, farm shop or butcher counter environment
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safe meat handling procedures
Working hours: Approximately 4042 hours per week, starting around 8:00am, Tuesday to Saturday (farm shop closed Sunday and Monday).
