If you’re a Residential Conveyancer who’s fed up with overloaded caseloads, constant chasing and feeling like you’re firefighting more than progressing files, this will feel different.

This Residential Conveyancer position isn’t about spinning plates or hitting unrealistic numbers. It’s about running a manageable caseload properly, keeping control of your files and seeing deals through without the usual noise.

This Award-Winning West Yorkshire based firm is growing and needs a Residential Conveyancer who can take ownership from instruction to completion, someone trusted to get on with it, not micromanaged or second-guessed. It’s a people-led environment where keeping clients informed, managing expectations and pulling all parties together is what gets deals exchanged and completed without the usual friction.


The Package:

  • Up to £42,000 basic (DOE) (can go higher for the right person), plus company related profit shared bonus up to £5,000 per annum, package £47,000
  • Full-time, office-based role in Wakefield

The Residential Conveyancer Role:

  • Take ownership and manage files from instruction through to completion and archiving
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, delivering clear communication keeping all parties aligned throughout the process
  • Handle a mix of freehold and leasehold matters
  • Prepare and maintain accurate file documentation throughout
  • Oversee billing and SDLT calculations, proactively securing prompt receipt of all outstanding monies.
  • Support with supervisory responsibilities when required
  • Keep legal knowledge up to date and relevant

The Person:

  • Demonstrated background in residential conveyancing, delivering efficient case progression and swift completions
  • Capable of handling files autonomously while maintaining high standards
  • Confident across freehold and leasehold transactions
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload and keep files progressing
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident using Windows, Word and Excel
  • 2+ years’ experience at a similar level handling your own caseload (Essential)
