Project / Senior Quantity Surveyor Civil Engineering (Highways & Infrastructure) Location: West Lancashire office | Lancashire based project sites Salary: £45,000 up to £65,000 car allowance Working pattern: 4 days office/site | 1 day from home Benefits: Pension, holidays, training & development Project / Senior Quantity Surveyor Civil Engineering Contractor - Highways, Roads, Groundworks, West Lancashire based office and Lancashire sites We are working with a well-established and growing civil engineering SME based in West Lancashire, renowned for delivering high-quality work and maintaining an excellent reputation across the region. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor to support and commercially manage a range of live civil engineering schemes. This role would suit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor running their own projects ready to step up or an experienced Project / Senior Quantity Surveyor. The Role You will take commercial responsibility for a portfolio of civil engineering projects, typically including: General civil engineering works Roads and highways Footpaths and public realm works Bridges and associated structures Working closely with the commercial manager, project managers and site teams, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered profitably and in line with contract requirements, predominantly under NEC forms of contract. Key Responsibilities Commercial management of multiple civil engineering projects from start to final account Preparing and submitting applications for payment Managing variations, compensation events and change control under NEC Cost control, forecasting and CVRs Procurement and management of subcontractors Valuations, payments and final accounts Supporting project teams with commercial advice and risk management Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders About You Previous experience within civil engineering (essential) Assistant QS looking to progress or an established Project / Senior Quantity Surveyor Working knowledge of NEC forms of contract Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail Confident communicator, able to liaise with clients and site teams Full UK driving licence (essential) Whats on Offer Opportunity to join a respected and growing regional contractor Real scope for progression as the business continues to expand Exposure to varied and interesting civil engineering projects Supportive, close-knit team environment Competitive salary and package (dependent on experience) How to Apply To apply, please email or call 07980 006 436 for a confidential discussion
