Quantity Surveyor – M&E / Construction The Role We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of Mechanical & Electrical and construction projects. You will play a key role in managing costs, maintaining financial control, and ensuring projects are delivered successfully from inception through to completion. Key Responsibilities * Undertake weekly site visits, carrying out measures and maintaining accurate records of site events * Prepare, price and submit variations in line with project requirements * Maintain and update all commercial documentation and registers * Drive value engineering initiatives and ensure effective cost control across projects * Manage interim valuations and application for payments * Review, assess and approve subcontractor payments * Oversee subcontractor accounts including variations and final accounts * Produce Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and contribute to financial reporting * Prepare cost-to-complete forecasts, cash flow projections and turnover forecasts * Take ownership of projects from a commercial perspective through to successful completion Candidate Requirements * Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within M&E and/or construction environments * Strong commercial awareness with excellent numeracy and financial management skills * Proficient in IT systems and commercial reporting tools * Confident communicator with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills * Good understanding of standard forms of contract, including JCT and NEC * Full UK driving licence Package Salary is negotiable and will be discussed at interview, depending on experience
