Quantity Surveyor - Northamptonshire (Hybrid) - up to £55K plus package
A specialist contractor based in Northamptonshire, seeks a Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team working alongside Estimators, Surveyors and reporting into an Operations Director. This role is able to offer hybrid working.
Our client has been established for over 20 years with a turnover of £20m, employing over 50 personnel. They work across High End Retail, Sports & Stadia, Healthcare and Commercial Sectors.
As a Quantity Surveyor you will work on fit out projects ranging from £250K to £5m, managing the contractual and financial side of construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and designers to ensure projects are completed within approved budgets and timelines.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and analyse costings for tenders and contracts
* Conduct feasibility studies
* Work closely with the Procurement Team to negotiate and procure materials, labor and supply chain
* Monitor project progress and be present on-site to ensure project specifications are met
* Prepare regular reports on project costs and labor utilization
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal team members
* Ensure compliance with project guidelines and health & safety regulations
* Carry out Take-Off's, Final Accounts, Measuring, Bills of Quantity, Forecasts, Cost Plans
* Delivering commercial elements within projects demonstrating a good undertsanding of JCT contracts.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
* Ideally experienced on projects within fit-out
* Good understanding of construction methods and materials
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
