Quantity Surveyor – Major RC-Frame Residential Projects (West & North West & North East London)
Locations: West London & North West London & North East London
Salary: Up to £75,000 + Car Allowance + Travel + Bonus + Benefits

About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a no.2 Quantity Surveyor to join a highly respected main contractor delivering large-scale RC-frame residential developments across West, North West and North East London.
You’ll support the commercial delivery of major high-density apartment schemes, operating within a structured team environment while gaining exposure to procurement, cost management, subcontractor performance, and value engineering.
With multiple projects ranging from £50 million to £150 million, this role offers strong opportunities for professional growth, technical variety, and long-term stability.
️ Project Environment
You’ll work across major multi-block residential developments, typically involving:
300–500+ RC-frame apartments per scheme Mixed-tenure delivery, including affordable, shared ownership, and private sale units High-rise reinforced concrete structures with complex logistics Multi-phase programmes offering progression and continuity Delivery environments where you can take ownership of work packages and influence commercial outcomes
Some schemes may be live and midway through delivery, while others are entering pre-construction, providing diverse experience across the full project lifecycle.
Your Role as Quantity Surveyor
Reporting to a Lead Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll help manage the commercial and financial elements of high-rise residential delivery, ensuring robust cost control and contractual compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage work packages across multi-block RC-frame phases Lead procurement, tendering, subcontractor management, valuations & variations Support with detailed cost plans, cashflows, CVCs, and forecasts Assist in identifying value engineering and cost-saving opportunities Work closely with the Technical and Production teams to resolve risks and align plans Maintain strong subcontractor relationships and ensure documentation accuracy Support trainee or junior surveyors when required
Skills & Experience Required
HNC/HND or degree in Quantity Surveying or similar Experience in residential or mixed-use construction (RC-frame beneficial) Strong procurement and subcontract management experience Skilled in cost reporting, forecasting & commercial analysis Strong communicator with excellent commercial awareness Detail-oriented, proactive, and ambitious to progress Interest in or working toward RICS / CIOB membership
