A leading independent construction and property consultancy is seeking an experienced Associate Quantity Surveyor to support and lead the delivery of projects across the office, fit out, PBSA, and wider built environment sectors. This is a senior client-facing role, offering responsibility for commercial leadership, client management, and delivery of high-quality cost management services across the full project lifecycle.
The role would suit a commercially experienced professional with strong consultancy experience, looking to take the next step in a leadership-focused position.
Key Responsibilities
Lead cost management and commercial services from feasibility through to final account.
Take ownership of key client relationships and act as a trusted commercial advisor.
Prepare and review cost plans, estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
Lead procurement strategies, tender processes, and contractor appointments.
Oversee contract administration, change control, and final account settlement.
Manage commercial risk, cash flow, and value optimisation across projects.
Support and mentor junior surveyors within the team.
Contribute to business development and workload planning where required.
Skills & Experience Required
Strong commercial experience within the office, fit out, PBSA, and/or wider built environment sectors.
Previous experience working within a construction consultancy environment.
Sound understanding of cost management, procurement, and contract administration.
Experience working under standard forms of contract (JCT/NEC).
Strong client-facing, communication, and reporting skills.
MRICS (or working towards) .
Proactive, commercially minded, and delivery focused.
