Your new role Quantity Surveyor to support a project on the outskirts of Cambridge, consisting high-quality residential flats and a commercial unit. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, takes ownership of cost control, and can guide a project from early-stage budgeting through to final account. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and cashflow forecasts
Conduct regular cost reporting and advise on cost-saving opportunities
Manage procurement, tendering, and contractor negotiations
Assess valuations, variations, and payment applications
Provide commercial oversight throughout construction
Support with contract administration and final accounts
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on residential or mixed‑use schemes
Strong understanding of UK construction costs, procurement routes, and contracts
Able to work independently and communicate clearly with project stakeholders
Detail‑driven, commercially minded, and proactive in identifying risks
