Quality Manager

We are recruiting for a Quality Manager to join our client based in Milton Keynes
Hours of work: 8am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-3.30pm Friday
This is a key role for the business where you will be the focal point for Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
You will have a small number of direct reports and will also have responsibility for hiring and training new employees as well as appraisals and other employee related matters.
Key responsibilities overview:
Company contact for external auditing
Contract reviews
ISO9001; AS9100 and NADCAP approvals as well as responsibilities in accordance with these standards
Recording and reporting data as well as analysing, including information regarding quality, reliability and expectancy of the finished product
Working in partnership with production and other departments
Working with suppliers to ensure the quality of their product including testing
Designing and controlling training programs
Investigating any complaints
Some travel involved to meet with suppliers and customers.
Our client is looking for the following skills and experience:
Consistent background within Quality Management
A bachelors degree or a relevant qualification in combination with experience
Thorough knowledge of ISO9001 & AS9100
Good knowledge of NADCAP and preferably an understanding of ISO13485
Ideally a member of Institute of Assurance
Ability to interpret a large variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram, along with abstract and concrete variables
Internal/external Auditing
Knowledge of tools such as Contract Review, ERP, MRP, Work Orders and Work To Lists
Produce documents such as FAIRS, PPAPS and Quality Plans
Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation
