The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, differentiated lessons to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning needs. You will work closely with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure pupils receive consistent, high-quality support tailored to their individual needs.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, differentiated lessons to meet the needs of pupils with SEN\n\n * \n\n Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment\n\n * \n\n Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and contribute to EHCP targets\n\n * \n\n Use a range of teaching strategies to support learning, communication, and emotional regulation\n\n * \n\n Manage behaviour effectively using positive behaviour support strategies\n\n * \n\n Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals\n\n * \n\n Monitor and track pupil progress, maintaining accurate records and reports\n\n * \n\n Ensure safeguarding, welfare, and wellbeing of all pupils at all times\n\nRequirements\n\n * \n\n Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential\n\n * \n\n Minimum of 6 months’ teaching experience in UK schools – essential\n\n * \n\n Experience teaching in SEN or specialist settings – essential\n\n * \n\n Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one – essential\n\n * \n\n Strong understanding of SEN strategies and inclusive teaching practices\n\n * \n\n Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills\n\n * \n\n Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children\n\nWe Offer\n\n * \n\n A supportive and collaborative staff team\n\n * \n\n A rewarding role making a positive difference in pupils’ lives\n\n * \n\n Opportunities to work in well-resourced SEN school settings\n\nSafeguarding Statement:\nThe school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
