The Role
We are seeking a passionate and committed Qualified SEN Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, differentiated lessons to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning needs. You will work closely with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure pupils receive consistent, high-quality support tailored to their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, differentiated lessons to meet the needs of pupils with SEN
*
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
*
Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and contribute to EHCP targets
*
Use a range of teaching strategies to support learning, communication, and emotional regulation
*
Manage behaviour effectively using positive behaviour support strategies
*
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals
*
Monitor and track pupil progress, maintaining accurate records and reports
*
Ensure safeguarding, welfare, and wellbeing of all pupils at all times
Requirements
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
*
Minimum of 6 months’ teaching experience in UK schools – essential
*
Experience teaching in SEN or specialist settings – essential
*
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one – essential
*
Strong understanding of SEN strategies and inclusive teaching practices
*
Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
*
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
